Abdo Al-Dalaim , Pharm-D
Founder, Yemeni American Pharmacists Association (YAPhA)
Born and raised in Yemen, Dr. Abdo Al-Dalaim came to the United States as a teenager and joined the New York City public school system, determined to build a future through education and hard work. As a first-generation college graduate and the first in his family to earn a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree from Long Island University, Dr. Al-Dalaim overcame numerous challenges-often without a support system or mentors to guide him.
Motivated by his own experiences and together with a group of other Yemeni-American pharmacists they founded the Yemeni American Pharmacists Association (YAPhA) to create the network he once needed-a community that uplifts, mentors, and empowers Yemeni-American pharmacists, pharmacy students, and technicians across the United States. Through YAPhA, Dr. Al-Dalaim continues to champion professional growth, leadership development, and community service, ensuring that future generations have the resources and support to succeed.
